How does this organization make a difference?

Overview

Self-reported by organization

The Nebraska Cultural Endowment and matching state fund have distributed over $7.6 million in supplemental support for arts and humanities educational programs and projects in communities across Nebraska.  Contributions from private sources are matched by a State of Nebraska fund that provides immediate support for arts and humanities programs in the state. Contributions from private sources add to the private endowment for the long term stabilization of arts and humanities funding in the state.

Funding Needs

The goal of the NCE is to build side-by-side $10 million funds, one private and one public, to ensure a match for the income from the State of Nebraska fund. Recently, the State of Nebraska increased its fund to $10 million. Gifts and pledges to the NCE fund total $5 million. The goal of the Nebraska Cultural Endowment is to raise the remaining $5 million to complete the match.
