Book Scholarship Program

The KLM Scholarship Foundation fills a tremendous financial void for college students by offering a Book Scholarship Program that will pay for college textbooks and supplies for qualifying students between the ages of 17-22. We target students and families that struggle financially to meet college fee obligations due to an existing financial challenge.

12 years experience in the following major activities:Supporting operations and administration of Board by advising and informing Board members, interfacing between Board and volunteers Overseeing design, marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of programs, products and services Recommending yearly budget for Board approval and prudently managing organization's resources within those budget guidelines according to current laws and regulations Effectively managing the human resources of the organization according to authorized personnel policies and procedures that fully conform to current laws and regulations Assuring the organization and its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented in strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders Overseeing fundraising planning and implementation, including identifying resource requirements, researching funding sources, establishing strategies to approach funders, submitting proposals and administrating fundraising records and documentation

STATEMENT FROM THE Principal Officer

"Our organization has been dedicated to making education affordable by providing book scholarships since 2002. We are the first 501(c)(3) non-profit within the Commonwealth of Virginia to offer a Book Scholarship Program. Our day-to-day operations and program is facilitated entirely by a core group of enthusiastic volunteers who spend days, nights and weekends making things happen - no one is compensated. Our team is very passionate about supporting Virginia college students and we are excited about partnering with the community-at-large because "Together, we make education affordable"!"
