RCLA is dedicated to the ongoing development of Verman Kimbrough Memorial Library and acts as a catalyst for the education growth of students, faculty and community.

1. In it's 30-plus year history, RCLA has raised more than $8 million, funding the purchase of books, periodicals, DVDs, hand-made artist books, research material and online-services for the Kimbrough Library and student scholarships. In addition, RCLA has pledged $3.75 million to the construction of a new library on the Ringling College of Art and Design's campus. RCLA is to date, the largest contributor to the Capital Campaign for the construction of the new library on the RCAD campus. 2. RCLA has seven named scholarship funds from which distributions are made each year to Ringling College of Art and Design students. 3. Through our TOWN HALL Lecture Series, The TOWN HALL Scholars program, The Oberndorf Foundation and a partnership with the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, RCLA provides college scholarships to local high school students.

Town Hall is in its 32nd year and is one of the top speaker series in the country. We feature speakers from around the world including Mikhail Gorbachev, Ehud Barak, Tony Blair, as well as a past President of the United States and a former First Lady.
