Mission Statement

Our work focuses on leadership development, school and community connections, and systems reform. We build learning and action networks as a leadership strategy to improve policy and practice at the national, state and local levels. The audience for IEL?s work includes elected and appointed policymakers, public and private agency directors, community leaders, and practitioners in schools and in other organizations concerned with vulnerable children and youth. IEL?s works in 42 states and in Washington, D.C.
