BIO

Alan Chambers joined Exodus International in October, 2001 as the organizations 3rd chief executive officer. His own story of pursuing Christ with the reality of same-sex attraction gives him tremendous insight as he addresses the evangelical stigma surrounding LGBT and faith issues in churches, colleges, media and various public forums around the world.

Alan has been interviewed by every major media venue throughout the world. Charisma Magazine named him one of the top Christian leaders who represent the future of the American church. World Magazine gave Alan their highest honor in 2011: Daniel of the Year. He is the author of God's Grace and the Homosexual Next Door (Harvest House, 2006) and Leaving Homosexuality (Harvest House, 2009). Most of all, Alan is husband to Leslie and father to a son and daughter. The Chambers family live in Orlando, Florida.
