Scholarship Awards

The
NGPA Education Fund (NGPA-EF) provides educational assistance in the form of scholarships to students
pursuing aviation careers as professional pilots or who are looking to further their skills through advanced ratings. Awardees must have demonstrated
community involvement, including support of the lesbian, gay, bisexual &
transgender (LGBT) community. Students must use the scholarship funds towards
advanced flight certificates/ratings or tuition at an accredited
college/university aviation program.

    1. Reach out to aviation schools and aviation training facilities with NGPA magazine and solicit qualified applicants
    2. Increase visibility on social media including Facebook and Twitter
    3. Provide information and articles in NGPA magazine as well as other publications including AOPA
    4. continue to increase awareness at AOPA, Women in Aviation, and Pride events throughout the country.

    Board members and volunteer staff are instrumental in spreading the word of the organization and recruiting qualified applicants. Volunteers staff the Ed Fund auctions at NGPA major events.
  4. How will they know if they are making progress?
    Communication through annual report and regular communication to the NGPA memnbership.

    Increased applications for scholarships
  5. What have and haven't they accomplished so far?
    Our fundraising for 2016 has been very good so far.
