How does this organization make a difference?

Overview

Self-reported by organization

In 2008 the Foundation awarded six academic scholarships totalling $8000.  Our goal is to increase that level to $12000 in 2009.

Two perpetual scholarships were created this year in the names of E. Duke Vincent, and Al and Joan Taddeo.  Duke and Al are former Blue Angels.

Also in 2009, the Foundation is funding a one-time renovation of the Blue Angels ready room in their hangar on Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida.

2009 scholarship applications will be available via e-mail in September to eligible students.  To apply, a student must be a dependent of a current or former member of the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron (Blue Angels.)  Interested students may request an application from blangasn@bellsouth.net(mailto:blangasn@bellsouth.net) .
