Program 1

Sarah Bonwell Hudgins Center

The Sarah Bonwell Hudgins Foundation owns and maintains a 38-acre campus of thirteen buildings dedicated for the use of people with mental and/or physical disabilities. In keeping with current inclusive educational philosophy, new programs for non-disabled children have been welcomed. Our most recent accomplishment is the construction and opening of our fourth group home and renovation of a small apartment, both on our campus. We have sponsored educational conferences with topics related to community interests and needs, including "Daycare Imperatives", "From First Breath to First Grade," "The Challenges of Aging" and "Developing Character in a Free Society." We have also sponsored seminars featuring John Rosemond, nationally known author, columnust and family psychologist.
