Headwaters' mission is to foster educational excellenc in Rappahannock County, Virginia by cultivating the cooperative spirit and resources of the whole community to benefit all students. Headwaters' programs serve all of Rappahannock's children aiming to reach those at greatest risk

Teacher Mini-Grants

Headwaters provides limited and specifically targeted financial support of initiatives that enhance or complement public school programs in Rappahannock County. These include: mini-grants to teachers for innovative projects, the Next Step College Access Program, Summer Workshops, Complementary Staff Development funds for faculty, the Farm-to-Table program offering education and experiences for youth in sustainable agriculture, and the Starfish Mentoring Program
