Schools Attuned; Research, Program Evaluation and Information Development

The Schools Attuned Program: The Schools Attuned Program is a comprehensive yearlong professional development program for K-12 education. The Program reflects the most current, research-based principles of professional development that changes teaching practice and has a positive impact on student outcomes. Participants register for one of two ?paths,? Generalist or Subject Specialist. The different paths are designed to address the areas of interest and expertise of educators and other related service professionals based on the grade levels and/or subject areas they teach.

Ms. Mary-Dean Barringer

BIO

Mary-Dean Barringer is Chief Executive Officer for All Kinds of Minds. She joined All Kinds of Minds in 2000 as the National Director of the Schools Attuned program. For ten years prior to joining the Institute, Ms. Barringer was Vice President at the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards where she led the organization's outreach and mobilization efforts with national organizations, state policy makers and local school districts. As a result of Ms. Barringer's efforts, 40 states have enacted legislation or other programs providing financial support to encourage teachers to seek National Board Certification and over 200 school districts are using the program. Prior to this work, Ms. Barringer was nationally recognized as a special education teacher.
