Mission Statement

To provide a safe haven for our youth to spend time that would otherwise be wasted. We will uphold the highest of standards and be a positive, influencing force in the lives of our youth. We will be honorable in all of our intentions and will make decisions with integrity. We will never forget our goal....to have a positive impact on the youth of today in order to make the world a better place tomorrow

We are advocates for youth. We are advocates in our community. We are advocates of educating ourselves to unleash the leadership potential within. We focus our efforts on helping parents & their children help themselves through education, athletics, life skills, mentoring, social development, and ongoing support.
By placing a focus on at-risk/disadvantaged youth, we are "Working Today for a better Tomorrow". Today's youth are tomorrow's leaders. Our goal is to remove the at-risk label from these youth, thus providing various outlets and mediums that contribute to a positive future.

  1. What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
    One of the goals is to bridge the educational gap and assist students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have the potential to succeed in higher education. The program provides academic, career, and financial counseling to its members and encourages members to complete high school and pursue post-secondary education.

    We also want to open transitional housing to ensure that no one is homeless

    We want to strengthen the relationship between the minor student and their parents

    We will hire qualified staff and bring on qualified volunteers. We will be hands on with each individual that we assist. We will hold workshops that gets everyone involved. We will fundraise and apply for government grants/contracts to ensure that we have the funding to carry out or mission.

    Training and developing staff and volunteers

    We will base or progress off of stats
  5. What have and haven't they accomplished so far?
    For years we have fed thousands for the holidays. We have provided thousands with toys for Christmas. We have assisted over 400 at-risk student athletes to attain full college scholarships. We have done SAT and ACT workshops. We have encouraged high school dropouts to re-enter and complete school.

BIO

Dorian Williams has been the Executive Director of In Time of Need, Inc. since 1997. He has also work at Livingstone College, as a college basketball coach. He was a facilities director at North Carolina Central University. He also worked as a Residential Director at Fayetteville State University. He has always love working with other, and creating positive programs in the community.
