COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD The Light Foundation has a committment to higher education. APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE ON-LINE NOW. DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY OF EACH CALENDAR YEAR. PATS GAME EXPERIENCE The Light's, The Music and the great football! Visiting a Patriot Home Game is an awesome experience for any football fan, but even bigger for the youth we take from Boston, Cincinnati, Dayton, West Lafayette and Greenville! Youth are selected based upon grades and community service to travel to a Patriots Home Game. They experience the pre-game warm up from the field, watch the game then eat dinner in the tunnel with the players, friends and family. PAST GRANTS The Light Foundation has supported many worthy causes, realizing that we cannot do all things and be all things in the community. In our effort to be a beacon of light to worthy causes, we have supported many youth-centered organizations. FOOTBALL CAMPS The Light Foundation operates two camps for youth teaching fundamental football skills. These are not autograph sessions, they are a real camp teaching real skills. Light Foundation All Conference Football Camp in Greenville, Ohio Matt Light Football Camp at Wheaton University in Norton, MA: June 29th - July 3rd, 2008 FINANCIAL LITERACY In 2005-2006, twenty severely at-risk youth were selected from Cincinnati, Ohio for a test project introducing Financial Literacy Training as an initiative to combat gang involvement and drug dealing involvement in youth. For twenty weeks, these youth participated in an intensive weekly program that focused on financial literacy, money management, asset building and business skills. Due to the overwhelming results of this 20-week program, the course will be offered again as an official class during the 2006-2007 school year for 20 new at-risk youth.
