Mission Statement

OneGoal, formerly Urban Students Empowered, is an innovative college persistence program working to make college graduation possible for all students. As the country's only teacher-led college persistence organization, we identify, train and support our nation's most effective teachers to lead underperforming high school students to reach their full potential and graduate from college.

US Empowered

US Empowered distinguishes itself from other college access programs by virtue of its indisputable rate of success. During our history, 100 percent of our Fellows have been admitted into four-year universities, with 79 percent enrolling in their top-choice school. Likewise, all of our Fellows are still on target to graduate from an institution of higher education. These statistics are even more impressive given US Empowered's commitment to students of highly varying GPA?s and test scores. Rather than limiting selection to higher achieving students, US Empowered seeks students who demonstrate our five leadership traits related to future success, regardless of historical academic performance. We firmly believe that students from all academic levels can make a transformational shift during high school if they are provided with two things: a culture of heightened expectations and a detailed road map for success.
