JJ's Playhouse Children's Museum & Gym is an organization which positively stimulates a child's mind, body, and spirit through an interactive wholistic approach by providing educational learning programs and exhibits that are entertaining, inspiring, and wholesome.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Program 1

Exhibits! Each of our 9 permanent exhibits will benefit children infants to age 7. Each exhibit is about 300 sq ft and will cover topics in math, literacy, art, science, and music. Our traveling exhibits will benefit children infants to age 12. Traveling exhibits will cover specific topics to expose children even more to the world around them. Additionally, we will hold workshops about informal learning for parents.

BIO

JJ's Playhouse will be managed by Yunice Patrick. As Executive Director, Yunice Patrick will oversee the daily operations, plan feature exhibits and activities for little guests, and work with surrounding stores, the community, other nonprofit educational organizations, and corporations to bring new learning opportunities to the members and guests of JJ's Playhouse. Employment opportunities afforded to Yunice Patrick has exposed her personally and professionally to those skills she will need as Executive Director of JJ?s Playhouse. Yunice Patrick is a graduate of Spelman College with a degree in Computer Science. Since college, she has held employment positions requiring her skills of time management, planning, scheduling, design and implementation. She has worked for nonprofit and for profit companies and understands the importance of forecasting when finances are abased and abound. Program development and implementation. As a financial manager, Mrs. Patrick brings to this venture knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll. Prior to leaving employment outside of the home to become an at-home mom, Mrs. Patrick was afforded the opportunity to work in Human Resources as a Human Resources Trainer. She began to expand her focus to Human Resources including generalist duties, development, consulting, employee relations and diversity.
