How does this organization make a difference?

Overview

Self-reported by organization

In the past year, we have added many new language programs, now totaling 36 languages.  This has exponentially increased the potential impact of our work and has required us to appropriately add staff to effectively manage the programs on the field.  The programs we've been invited to engage with in India bring 24 languages alone.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Program 1

India

We have two initiatives in India - one in the northwest in partnership with Operation Agape and one in the northeast with New India Evangelistic Association.  In both of these regions, the need is great - in the northwest, literacy is often defined as being able to sign one's name and count to 10 and back.  In the northeast (Bihar), illiteracy is a known problem.  While we don't create programs to assist in literacy, we are passionate about ensuring that the people have critical, life-saving information for health and the Good News of the Gospel.  This will be shared in stories, songs, and dramas - all recorded and placed on digital audio devices which have external speakers for group listening and interaction.  A third party will evaluate the results of the program and will be available shortly after the completion of Phase I.

Principal Officer

Ed Weaver

BIO

Ed
is an entrepreneur that God led into ministry in order to leverage technology
as a tool to communicate Truth to oral cultures. As CEO of T4 Global,
he is responsible for overall strategy and day-to-day operations. He also was
the founder of
MPReach, LLC a “New Media” company based in Dallas, TX.  Ed leverages the
legacy of his work to deliver solid strategic applications with new trends in
technology. His interactive marketing background includes introducing BlueSky
Factory, an email marketing company, to Dallas/Ft. Worth and strategic
planning/project management for ecommerce websites for small to medium
businesses. Some of his battle scars include Vice-President, Sales and
Marketing for Transfinity Corporation, a technology startup using patented
compression for increasing Internet access speed; Product Manager for
OpenConnect Systems for their flagship WebConnect Pro product, winning Product
of the Year in 1998 from Network World; and Product Line Management of a group
of 4 digital products at Eastman Kodak Health Imaging Systems.  He has a
B.S., Business Administration from John Brown University.

Ed is joyfully married to Laura and has one
daughter, Brittany, who is 21 years old. He has been active in lay-leadership at Reunion Church in Dallas for 13 years.

STATEMENT FROM THE Principal Officer

"The Need:
Most
missiologists agree that 60-70 percent of the world does not read
They either
cannot (illiterate), do not (semi-literate) or will not (oral preference)
Removing
populations from North America and Western Europe 80 percent of the missions focus
is in this category of “oral learner”.
Oral learners
consume information via stories, songs, dramas, village proverbs, and poetry,
rather than through reading.

T4 Global is
one of a handful of ministries that exclusively focus on this audience.

We partner
with indigenous leaders to design and record appropriate communication
strategies for evangelism, discipleship or pastor training and include
community development content to meet the needs of the whole person.
All audio
recordings are placed on digital audio devices with external speakers to enable
small listening groups to gather and discuss life-changing information.
We believe
that third party evaluation is critical to unbiased analysis of how we
performed as ministry, but more importantly how God has moved through the
programs He has enabled."
