The purpose of the West Georgia Technical College Foundation is to increase financial support and/or additional resources for West Georgia Technical College and to support the College's mission and core values. Additionally, the Foundation will support high quality educational opportunities, facilities and resources for students of the College.

In FY2014, the WGTC Foundation supported Student Scholarships, Tuition Reimbursement, Adult Education, and Project CARE, as well as special programs. Student scholarship awards totaled over $53,200. The Tuition Reimbursement program assists faculty and staff with costs related to professional development; $6750 was awarded. The Foundation provided GED testing scholarships to 87 students at a total cost of $12,892. Project CARE, an annual support program offering assistance to WGTC students, faculty and staff in need, assisted 60 local families during the 2014 holiday season.
