DOCS is a Christian non-profit organization that engages volunteer physicians, partner hospitals, educational organizations and donors to share medical expertise, provide Christian mentoring, and support educational opportunities for African physicians toward the betterment of healthcare Sub-Saharan Africa.

DOCS focus has been and continues to be on touching lives for God through medical education in Sub-Saharan Africa. The DOCS clinic, established in 2007, has met the physical and spiritual needs of over 3,500 people each year in Goma, DRC. Additionally, between four and six medical residents are taught and mentored each year through the clinic in conjunction with the University of Goma Medical School. Twice each year volunteer physicians from the US travel to DRC and Rwanda to provide continuing medical education for physicians in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Medical Education in Africa

DOCS Continuing Medical Education program (CME)coordinates seminars, conducted by volunteer physicians and attended by national physicians, in various locales of East Africa. The Residency Program enables African physicians to pursue a Master's Degree in Family Medicine. DOCS Learning Center in Goma, Congo facilitates medical education by providing a location where doctors can receive hands-on practical training.
