This unique program utilizes the student athletes' interest in sports as a tool to motivate them to place their highest priority on academics and obtaining the grades necessary to be admitted to college, to graduate and to become productive citizens. Through a structured curriculum, a series of tutorial sessions, and life skills training, our program participants come to clearly understand the “great opportunities” that are presented to students who are successful at balancing their academic and social responsibilities.

Program 1

Sports Career Expo National Campaign that reaches thousands of high school student athletes and college students ages 13-22 years old, across the country, introducing them to alternative careers in sports. Field Goals & Assists Program Atlanta based after-school initiative that reaches 150 student athletes ages 13-19 through tutorial programs, college readiness workshops,life skills sessions, and football camps . Southside Lady Royals Basketball initiative that includes NCAA workshops, life skills training and weekly tournaments for 30 young women ages 13-17 years old.

The Field Goals & Assists Program

The Field Goals & Assists program educates students on the requirements that must be met in order to qualify for an athletic scholarship, including the NCAA Initial Clearinghouse application process. All students enrolled in our program gain a clear understanding of the eligibility requirements needed to become college students and athletes.
Why Not Sports believes that educating students early in their high school careers, allows them to have a clear understanding of the academic and social requirements needed to make a successful transition from high school to college.
