Program 1

The City Voices is a collection of writing groups, which engage specific populations (recovery groups, homeless, youth, elderly, etc.) in writing exercises that challenge them to look inside themselves and connect to their unique inner voice, helping them to communicate their true thoughts, while often responding to some challenging issues of civic debate. These writing groups serve men and women in recovery, the homeless, teens, runaway and incarcenated youth, senior citizens, as well as aspiring and professional writers. Along with the City Voices, InkTank promotes the litary arts through Slang, a bi-monthly reading series, monthly Open Mics, publications, publishing and writing workshops.
