VISION We aspire to double our endowment to remove the financial obstacles for all deserving students who want to improve their lives with a State College of Florida education, in order to contribute to the vitality of our community and to expand innovative, academic enhancements of the college to make it the best educational experience in the region. Through opportunity, we shape the present and touch the future. Our Foundation has an unmatched history of working with those who share a common passion to help make their community prosper by enabling others to advance their lives through higher education. We help impart knowledge and share in discovery by raising funds for new buildings, laboratories, classroom equipment, endowed faculty chairs and student scholarships. Annually the State College of Florida Foundation awards more the $1 million in faculty, program and equipment support and more than $1 million in scholarship support to students.

Funding Needs

1.To position the College as a valuable community asset by providing more curricular and co-curricular activities with a community service component and increasing the use of volunteers on our campuses. 2. To expand and enhance social and cultural programs the College offers to the community. 3. To develop external funding to support new program development and implementationto reduce dependence on College reserves. 4. To endow positions and recurring activities to liberate operating funds. 5. To help the College reach reach it's goals through effective fund and friend raising through the use of Pride and Excellence.

BIO

Executive Director Experience Cassandra Holmes has a background in education as the development director for St. Joseph's Catholic School in Bradenton, where she established an annual fund campaign, concluded a capital campaign, created enrollment campaigns, secured grant funds and managed an annual auction that generated more than $800,000 over five years. She also worked as a statistical associate at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Additionally, she has worked as a senior financial analyst for Walt Disney World, where she oversaw a team of accountants and a $150 million budget. Holmes is actively involved in the community as a member of the Junior League of Manatee County and Southwest Florida Estate Planning Council. She is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Manatee. She earned an associate degree from Santa Fe Community College and two Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degrees — one with a major in accounting from the University of Central Florida and the other with a major in management from the University of Florida.
