Principal Officer

Ms. Yvondia Herring

BIO

I have over 20 years experience in healthcare services.  I have been a contestant in a pageant and numerous talent shows. I have organized numerous events in healthcare and the entertainment field.  I have a degree in Social Work with a concentration in Health Settings.  I have volunteered at health fairs and organized volunteers to work at an Expo.

STATEMENT FROM THE Principal Officer

"As a healthcare professional for over 20 years, I believe in assisting and educating others in regards to their healthcare needs. The Central Florida Black Expo will provide a health fair with Pavilions dedicated to the whole family such as the Children's Pavilion and the Senior Pavilion.  Many people need an extra push to get a checkup or screening, so we will provide national recording artists and authors, celebrity chef and celebrity fitness instructor to motivate attendees. In today's economy, many people have no health insurance and the Expo can at least provide screenings so they are educated to any illness they may not know they have. There are three high risk diseases we are focusing on: Diabetes-High Blood Pressure-Cardiovascular. We will have doctors, nurses, social workers and other medical professionals on hand.

We had no income and expenses paid by the organization in the past two years. Expenses incurred by the Easter Egg Hunt was paid out of pocket for the candy.  We hope to receive funding in order to provide more services to the community on an annual basis. We are making plans for cooperation with other organizations to ensure knowledge of the planned events and transportation needs of seniors to attend the Expo."
