The Nonprofit Center uses 1) national trends in nonprofit capacity building; 2) local member and non-member surveys; and 3) our own strategic and business plans in determining what programs to offer. Specifically, Nonprofit Center programs include Leadership Development (advocacy, diversity and executive transitions/next generation leadership), Advocacy and the Community Coaches. In 2007 (ending 12/31/2007) over 108 programs, workshops and trainings attracted 1,716 nonprofit participants.

BIO

Previously, Rena served as President & CEO of Girls Incorporated of Jacksonville. In 2001, she and her family moved to Jacksonville after living in Tallahassee for six years. While there, she worked for Leadership Florida, developing and sustaining programs and special projects. Rena also spent 8 years in Washington D.C. working as a legislative aide to Senator Bob Graham. Prior to working in the Senate, Rena lived and worked in Liberia, West Africa as a Peace Corps fisheries volunteer. She joined the Peace Corps after graduating from the University of Florida in 1981.
