Mission Statement

Louisville civic leader John P. Morton was the Episcopal Church Home's initial benefactor. His charge to the first board of trustees was to ensure that the community offered shelter and proper care for widows and dependent elders. Our current mission is to enhance the quality of life for older adults through a supportive Christian community.

ECHKY offers 1) patio homes for independent living; 2) personal care apartments; 3) Nursing Facility (NF) and Skilled Nursing (SNF) services; 4) Memory Care Center of Excellence (special focus on the care of...and university-based study of caring for...people with chronic memory-impairing conditions like Alzheimer's Disease, Pick's Disease, Parkinson's Disease and related disorders; and St. Luke's Chapel. Medicare & Medicaid certified. Host of Alzheimer's Association support groups for spouses and adult children.
