The Blount County Education Foundation (BCEF) provides support for educational projects in the Blount County School System that would otherwise not be funded.  This support helps to ensure an excellent education for nearly 12,000 students in 21 schools.  Some of the projects include:

Mini-grant funding for innovative educational projects

Funding for second grade students to take the TCAP standardized test, enabling their upcoming third grade teachers to provide customized educational interventions for each child

Sponsorship of the annual county-wide science and social studies fairs

Provision of books for classroom and school-wide libraries

Annual 5K / 1 Mile Turkey Trot for Education

Collection and delivery of basic school supplies for needy children and their teachers
