Amory Humane Society
Until they've found a home!
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
We work tirelessly to ensure the safety of animals and citizens alike with the intake, capture, and caring of any abandoned or stray animals inside the city limits of Amory. We face the issue of overpopulation daily, but transport to other no-kill facilities in less densely pet-populated areas where they can find loving homes without facing the possibility of euthanization.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our biggest goal is to avoid the possibility of euthanizing animals that aren't vicious or ill or unable to be helped. We want to ensure that if it's possible for the animal to be adopted, we can play a part in making it happen, whether it's a local adoption or if it's found in another state.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Proper care and vaccination for preparation of transporting or adoption, understanding the animal physically, emotionally, and being able to identify what qualities they have to be sure potential adopters are a great match.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Education is key.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have helped hundreds of animals find homes so far, and we're working to ensure that continues.
