Overview

Self-reported by organization

Adopt-A-Classroom's mission is to provide all children equal access to a quality education.  Our focus is to support teacher efforts in the classroom and create opportunities to provide rich and vibrant learning experiences for children.  Donors go to www.adoptaclassroom.org and can specify which classroom will receive their donation.  100% of all donated funds are passed through to the classroom; Adopt-A-Classroom takes $0 out for administration. Donors receive direct feedback from teachers and students, as well as impact reports that detail item-for-item, dollar-for-dollar how the donated funds were used.  The result is a meaningful and transparent contribution toward education wherein donors can celebrate in a classroom's success and see for themselves how their contribution made a difference.

Program 1

Classroom Adoptions

When you choose a classroom and make an adoption, we direct 100% of these funds to the teacher.  The teacher can then purchase purchase items that enrich the learning environment. Adopt-A-Classroom emphasizes accountability and responsibility. We send you information about your adopted classroom and an itemized invoice detailing exactly what the teacher purchased. We also send the teacher contact information about you. Throughout the school year, you communicate with the teacher and students and visit the classroom to experience first-hand the impact of your contribution. As you participate in subsequent years, you enjoy the cumulative effect of your efforts with each new class of students, as well as develop a lasting and meaningful relationship with the teacher.
