Adventures in Lifelong Learning

Over the course of each year, we offer 70 courses divided into fall, winter and spring sessions. These courses run for 4 or 6 weeks and range from art to music to philosophy, science and history. Many of our courses complement the arts & cultural offerings in Sarasota (opera, symphony, aquarium, etc). In addition to the stimulating classes, our students enjoy meeting like-minded fellow students.

Funding Needs

A stable venue for multiple classrooms, each holding at least 25 students, with audio visual equipment, a place for coffee and free parking is in high demand. Replacement of the current custom web-based platform with a more comprehensive adult education management system that is easier to use and support. The new system will provide end-to-end management of the total registration and payment process and ideally include instructor and student portals for improved self-service functionality as well as a mechanism for aggregating enrollment and contribution data. Active Board Members and Volunteers. Audio visual equipment for presentations. Overhead projector, laptop and in some cases, sound equipment for music and film courses. Financial support for staffing.
