Mission Statement

One of the nation's very first rural community centers of its kind, the Stonewall Alliance of Chico (SAC), was founded in 1990 to deliver a variety of outreach and support services previously unavailable in California's Northstate. SAC has evolved into the primary resource resolving the misconceptions between the gay and non-gay communities living in this region. SAC's service area encompasses 13 rural counties (an area roughly equivalent to the State of Indiana).
