What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
National NeighborWoods® Month
National NeighborWoods® Month is the annual celebration of trees in our communities. Every October, tens of thousands of volunteers take action to make their communities greener and healthier by planting trees—turning their neighborhoods into vibrant, livable NeighborWoods®!
Community Groves
In late September 2013 ACTrees officially launched Community Groves, a new national program to improve the health and livability of communities by planting and caring for urban fruit and nut trees.
Community Groves provides a roadmap to bring the nutrition and community benefits of fruit and nut trees to any neighborhood. The program includes a Community Groves Guidebook with relevant resources, inspiring case studies, and instructional coverage of critical considerations like site selection, soil testing, tree sourcing, long-term harvest planning, and more. All materials are located online for easy access by anyone, anywhere.
