The Northside Education Foundation is an independent non-profit corporation promoting quality education in the Northside Independent School District located in San Antonio, Texas. The Foundation's mission is to foster community involvement in innovative educational programs by generating and disbursing funds and other resources to provide enrichment for Northside students.

Precious Minds New Connections

Precious Minds New Connections (PMNC), an initiative funded by the Kronkosky Charitable Foundation, is a parenting education program designed to help parents and other caregivers of young children become knowledgeable about the critical development of their children.   This free program is for interested parents, expectant parents, foster parents, grand parents, and others caring for children under 4 years old. Topics include brain development, temper tantrums, ages and stages of child development, and much more. Free childcare, free meals and door prizes are provided, and graduates will also receive a free ticket to the San Antonio Zoo. Classes run for eight weeks (in Spanish and English) meeting once a week for two hours. Classes are offered morning, afternoon and evening at several locations. The Precious Minds New Connections program is funded on a year to year basis. If funding from the Kronkosky Charitable Foundation were to cease we would want to continue program so would need to seek additional funding.
