Past Activities: Helped Middlesex County Public Schools fund site and engineering plans for new athletic complex; donated $75,000 to help with purchase of land adjacent to high school for complex and much needed parking. Completed $600,000 fundraising goal to assist with funding of athletic complex at Middlesex High School. Took part in dedication of complex. Held training for Board of Directors on government regulations and updated bylaws. Assessed future needs of complex.Planned Activities: Raise funds to complete items from athletic plan not included in bid, i.e. lights for softball and baseball fields and tennis courts (wiring is in place) and field work for the practice field. Expand the work of Friends for projects requested by the schools, i,e, 3D printer for TSA program and kilns for the Art Departments. Design programs to inform and encourage community involvement.

Funding Needs

The "Friends" are in need of funds to complete items at the athletic complex that were omitted from the bid. Monies are being solicited through grants, corporations, individuals and civic organizations.Volunteers are needed for the annual golf tournament, as speakers at organization meetings, as attendees at athletic events to "spread the word" and as workers at community events, such as the Oyster Festival and the Farmers' Markets.Continued in-kind support, such as landscape maintenance, sand for track pits and minor excavation, is needed. Continued donations of postage and office supplies is also needed.
