Impact statement

Catholic Charities of Dallas provides essential social services to low-income households to foster family stability by assisting them to become more self-sufficient. Our service delivery system takes a holistic and integrated approach to the person seeking assistance, who actively participates in an individualized plan to overcome poverty, which is the most effective approach to helping people out of poverty. Our programs provide opportunities that can lead to sustainable independence, ensuring that individuals engage with a system that supports them in reaching their full human potential. This individualized approach links people with an array of privately and publicly-funded social services. Rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church to serve each other, our services extend the ministries of the parishes throughout the distinct and diverse communities of the Diocese of Dallas. In fiscal year 2011, Catholic Charities of Dallas served over 70,000 individuals through four core programs: Children & Adoption Services andCommunity Outreach, Elderly and Family Services, Immigration and Legal Services and Refugee and Empowerment Services.
