Mission Statement

ROADS is an acronym for Romanian Achievement and Development ScholarshiRomania, we were shocked by the hopeless impossibility of post-baccalaureate education for the rural Romania's young people. ROADS was founded to provide scholarships to enable these academically gifted students - and others like them - to attend local universities, working towards professional degrees. The cost for one Romanian student from to attend the local university is 50 U.S. dollars per month.

BIO

Katherine graduated from Duke University with a degree in Biology. She subsequently received a Master?s degree in Public Health from Yale University and a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. Katherine is currently a resident in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. Along with her interest in healthcare, Katherine maintains a strong interest in international development and human rights. Katherine is one of the organization?s founding members and currently serves as its Director.
