How does this organization make a difference?

Overview

Self-reported by organization

In the 2011-2012 Season, Masquerade has worked to improve and diversify our programming.  In the early fall of 2011 we premiered Galveston at the Hobby Center after collaboration with lyricist, composer and bookwriter in residence.  Then in October, 2011 we kicked of our new Cabaret Series with the production of Last Five Years at Ovations in Rice Village.  Additionally, we have developed several new departments and department heads including eCommunications, and launched a new website at www.masqueradetheatre.com(http://www.masqueradetheatre.com) . Finally, we launched our first Young Audience Matinee Series production with our November, 2011 production of My Fair Lady.

Our goals for the upcoming 2012-2013 Season are:

1)  Board Development and Diversity (General and Advisory)

2)  Artistic Revitalization- developing CORE- a small group of actors and directors to work on mission mindedness throughout the season

3)  Youth Outreach- we will continue building the Young Audience Matinee Series and work to begin touring productions with literary, cultural and historical values to campuses around the city
