Program 1

New Teacher Grants

A core belief in Clovis Unified is, "it's people, not programs that make the positive difference for kids." Hiring and maintaining quality teacher is one of the most important things done to provide students with an exceptional education. To support teachers in Clovis Unified, the Foundation awards each new full-time teacher a gift of $200 to help with the expenses of setting up his/her classroom.

Program 2

Students of Promise

On high school campuses there are students who face extreme obstacles to their education. Foster care, abuse, loss of parents, addiction and health problems could easily affect their performance at school, but somehow these students do not allow challenges to get in their way. Annually in the spring, juniors in Clovis Unified are nominated by their teachers and/or school counselors to be awarded a $1,500 scholarship to be used in post-secondary education after graduation. This scholarship spurs these "heroes in every day life" to finish high school strong and continue on in their education.
