Mission Statement

Friends of the Children's Eternal Rainforest, founded in April 2002, was formed primarily to support the work and programs of the Monteverde Conservation League (MCL) in Monteverde, Costa Rica which owns and maintains 55,000 acres of the Bosque Eterno de Los Ninos (Children's Eternal Rain Forest). Our goal is aid MCL in their efforts to preserve tropical ecosystems.

MCLUS communicates to school children, foundations and individuals about the needs of maintaining the tropical ecosystems of El Bosque de los Niños (BEN)in and around Monteverde, Costa Rica through personal conversations, public presentations and printed/published materials in order to attract donations. Except for very modest incidental expenses, all monies are donated to projects and programs in Costa Rica and Belize. The principal programs in Costa Rica are operated by the Monteverde Conservation League (MCL)which has a website which describes its activities - www.acmcr.org
