Mission Statement

The Equality State Policy Center (ESPC), a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, is a coalition of progressive organizations in Wyoming that seek to influence public policy decision-making. ESPC utilizes research, public education, and advocacy to advance a cooperative work program designed to establish and maintain accountability in state government and to substantially increase citizen participation in and influence over public policy decision-making. The ESPC is a coalition of 30 member organizations. ESPC's board of directors consists of one representative appointed by each member organization. ESPC board members are board members or staff of their own respective organizations. The ESPC was founded in 1994, conducted trial policy initiatives through 1998, and evolved into a professional organization with fulltime staff in 1999.
