What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Program 1

The Hispanic Scholarship Consortium (HSC) main program is investing in human capital. Our grassroots program's focus is SCHOLARSHIP in its broadest sense. HSC awards scholarships in $2,000 increments, links students with mentors, pairs them with internship opportunities and provides hands on leadership development training. Scholarships are renewable to eligible well-rounded individuals, many of whom are first-generation college students coming from disadvantaged homes, pursuing a degree in higher education at a two-year or four-year college or university on a full-time basis. HSC is currently sustaining fifty-six scholars. In 2007, HSC awarded $146,100 in scholarships to new and renewing scholars.
