Mission Statement

Altrusa International of Ruidoso is an organization of business and professional people dedicated to the betterment of our community, which we define as including Lincoln County and Mescalero. Our main objectives are:

1. Increase the level of literacy in the community through an ongoing partnership with Lincoln County Literacy Council, as well as support for library and public school projects.

2. Provide scholarships for adults who have had to drop out of school due to life’s demands, and now wish to continue their education.

3. Partner with Lincoln County Medical Center to offer low cost mammograms annually.

4. Offer assistance and support, both financial and volunteer, to meet other specific community needs.
