What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Art Collections and Presentation
Permanent Collections of art including California art, European drawings, contemporary art, Asian art, Tribal art and international ceramics are exhibited regularly. Twelve to fifteen changing exhibitions provide additional opportunities to see visual art from other museum collections from around the world. Exhibitions compliment the Museum's permanent collections.
Collections care and conservation are an important part of maintaining our collections for the benefit of future generations.
An art library with public hours is available regularly to visitors and researchers.
Educational programs for school age children, adults, and families. The Museum works closely with teachers in the region's schools through a traveling Art Ark, and art laboratories in selected classrooms. The Museum currently serves over 50,000 school children annually.
Docent tours provided to the public daily.
