GuideStar Membership Program
for Foundation and Corporate Grantmakers
Millions of people come to
www.guidestar.org each year. Of those visitors, 7,000 pay for product subscriptions and services. A smaller subset of about
150 users, primarily foundation and corporate grantmakers, fund GuideStar with Membership revenue through grants or their administrative budgets.
Funding priorities change over time. We believe, however, that GuideStar Membership should remain a constant in every grantmaker's portfolio.
Many U.S. grantmakers share this belief. As their priorities and endowments change, they continue to invest in the GuideStar Membership Program. They understand the tremendous effect our work has on their ability to achieve their own goals. GuideStar's groundbreaking work is uniquely committed to serving and advancing the entire nonprofit community.
Reasons to Become a Member
By investing in the Membership Program, your organization serves the much larger causes of your grantees, who continue to rely on GuideStar to expand their reach and impact.
Members become a part of a powerful community involved in an ongoing reciprocal relationship with GuideStar, working together to:
- provide nonprofits with free marketing, fundraising, and management tools they need to be more effective;
- allow donors and grantmakers to verify the tax status of organizations quickly and accurately;
- assist nonprofits in gathering information on potential sources of financial support for their programs; and
- encourage individuals to become involved in the nonprofit sector by providing them with the data they need.
Suggested Membership Contribution
| If Foundation Assets Are | Or If Grants/Giving Volume Is | Then Suggested Membership Contribution Is |
