  1. Why do some organizations not have pie charts?

Those organizations for which GuideStar does not have digitized financial data will not have pie charts. Charts will also not display for organizations that file an IRS Form 990-EZ.

  2. Why do some organizations not have a pie chart for revenue?

GuideStar does not currently digitize revenue line items from Forms 990-PF. Therefore, private foundation reports do not display a revenue pie chart.

  3. How do the revenue and expense categories used in the charts compare to the financial line items in the Forms 990?

The terminology used for the revenue and expense categories in the pie charts is similar to the terminology used in the Forms 990. The primary different is that the 990 expense category "Management and General" is referred to as "Administration" in the expense pie chart.

  4. How can I see dollar values associated with the percentages on the financial pie charts?

Hold your mouse pointer over the category areas within the pie chart. The category title, percentage, and dollar amount will appear next to the pie chart area.

  5. How can I print the charts?

The GuideStar Premium print-friendly report contains the charts. To generate the print-friendly report, click the "View Print-Friendly Report" button near the top of the report page.
