Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We support residents' employability, health, ability to age at home with dignity and overall quality of life.

We provide public Shuttle Buses for everyone and Dial-A-Ride services for vulnerable residents who can't access buses.

We engage staff, volunteers and Board members, and implement internal systems and facilities that support outstanding performance, effectiveness and professionalism in all aspects of our work.

We work with a wide range of community partners to provide high quality, reliable and flexible services that meet our customers' needs.

We are committed to social, environmental and economic justice.

We treat riders, staff and community members with respect, dignity and kindness.

We develop and maintain diverse and stable funding sources and partners, and make thoughtful decisions that ensure our long-term sustainability.

We participate as part of a state and regional transportation network, facilitating seamless travel.

Tri-Valley Transit was created in 2017 as the legal merger of Stagecoach Transportation of Orange and Northern Windsor Counties and ACTR of Addison County. Stagecoach has been providing community transportation since 1976 and ACTR since 1992.

ACTR and Stagecoach both began as volunteer ride programs for elderly and disabled residents. The evolved to become Medicaid Transportation Brokers for their regions. And they both grew their small volunteer workforces to robust networks that provide both public shuttle buses for everyone and specialized rides for vulnerable neighbors who cannot access bus routes.

TVT has heightened its safety standards to continue meeting usual and evolving transportation needs in the communities we serve. During COVID we are proud to have been part of the rural emergency food delivery system, and provider of free rides to vaccination appointments.
