Mission

Southeast Texas Interfaith Organization for Disaster Recovery (SETIO) is a faith based long-term disaster recovery organization serving Jefferson, Orange and Hardin counties. SETIO was created in the Fall of 2005 in the aftermath of Hurricane Rita by local clergy and community members with a mission to help those most vulnerable members in the community especially the uninsured and underinsured elderly, disabled and single parent families.

The Port Arthur Recovery Project is a joint effort between SETIO, Lutheran Social Services Disaster Response and the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee. The project is assisting families in Port Arthur,an area hardest hit by Hurricane Rita, to recover.
