What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
High-Challenge Sports and Function & Fitness Programs
Engaging over 2,000 children and adults annually through our High-Challenge Sports program- adaptive windsurfing, Hawaiian outrigger canoeing as well as soccer, cycling and tennis, and our Function & Fitness program - personal training and conditioning & sports programs - providing opportunities for our athletes to train as athletes year round. Developing/piloting curriculum, in partnership with Boston Public Schools teachers, to integrate thirty minutes of daily physical activity within the classroom curriculum, a model with training program being developed to replicate. Creating nationally recognized adaptive equipment to accommodate all disabilities. The first to adapt windsurfing, we are the nation's leader and innovator in adaptive sports for their physical, cognitive, social and life-changing potential. Building skills and commitment through our Sports Camps program - intensive, overnight, one-week training programs in Florida and California. Collaborating with leading institutions and experts to document physical, educational and social changes, to promote health, educational and recreational benefits. Depended on the leadership and support of our long standing Program and Funding Partners - Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, Perkins School for the Blind, Camp Harbor View, Carl and Ruth Shapiro Family Foundation. Connors Family, Boston Bruins, The TJX Companies, Procter & Gamble, Liberty Mutual among others and of many individuals, corporations and foundations as well as significant gifts in-kind
