Mission Statement

Plagal is an educational organization that promotes the pro-life ethic within the LGBT community while encouraging LGBT involvement within the pro-life community. PLAGAL strives to form working relationships with those in the traditional pro-life community.

Written and Published irregularly, and often re-published, present specific arguments against abortion directed and tailored for the LGBTcommunity. Flyers also written about inclusiveness of all prolife individuals within the movement directed and tailored to traditional prolife individuals and groups. The flyers include ABORTION AS GAY BASHING, UNDER THE RAINBOW FLAG, VICTIMS: GAYS,LESBIANS AND THE UNBORN, HUMAN RIGHTS START WHEN HUMAN RIGHTS BEGIN, GAY RIGHTS AND THE RIGHTS TO PRIVACY, WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY, AN OPEN LETTER TO THE PROLIFE MOVEMENT,  AND THIS IS NOT YOUR CLUBHOUSE.

The blog, facebook and myspace pages have replaced the newsletter, The PLAGAL Memorandum, as a form of communicating with our members and interested individuals. These items report the past and future activities of the Pro-Life Alliance of Gays and Lesbians (PLAGAL); reprint articles concerning abortion and the LGBT community; provides a forum for discussion to our members and other interested individuals.

TRADITIONAL PROLIFE ACTIVITIES

Participation in the annual March For Life on January 22 of each year, a large demonstration in opposition to abortion held in Washington, DC. Alerts Pro-life lesbians and gays attending the March of the existence of other pro-life LGBT individuals; distributes flyers alerting other pro-lifers of arguments focused at the lesbian and gay communities, and demonstrates the inclusiveness of all prolifers within the prolife movement

Cecilia Brown has served as local contact and head of the Cleveland chapter for PLAGAL from 1994 until 2004 when she moved out of state. She has been on the board of directors since 1996 and was elected president in 2000. She currently works as a freelance photographer and a server.
