Mission
The LKW Fund is dedicated to carrying on the legacy of Laura's love for art, nature, and teaching children, as well as her compassion for the less fortunate; and to eliminating the sexual violence that took her life.
Therefore, the LKW Fund has two primary purposes:
1. Supporting organizations and programs which aid survivors of sexual assault and domestic abuse, including affected children, so that they have access to the services and assistance necessary to alleviate their suffering and to help end the cycle of violence.
2. Providing scholarships, as well as other resources, to disadvantaged children to participate in educational arts and nature programs, so that they may develop an appreciation and an abiding respect for the arts and the environment.

Laura Kate Winterbottom Art Therapy Center at the Integrated Arts Academy at H.O. Wheeler School
We are thrilled to announce our biggest project to date: the creation of the Laura Kate Winterbottom Art Therapy Center at the Integrated Arts Academy at the H.O. Wheeler School in Burlington's Old North End. The LKW Art Therapy Center offers the opportunity to combine our 2 missions: to prevent sexual and domestic violence and to support enrichment programs for disadvantaged children, and promises to be a paradigm in therapeutic and transformative arts education.
Getting the LKW Art Therapy Center started, sustaining it and expanding to include more and more students will require a substantial financial commitment. With donations and in-kind contributions from an architect and contractors, we have commitments to date covering about 60% of construction and the first year operating costs. We hope you will consider making a tax deductible donation to help us develop this program as well as continue to work on and support other projects.
