Re-enacting Corps/ Living Historians

We have a 15-20 member reenacting corps and another 5-8 living historians that work to authentically represent the WWII era bot on the military side and the civilian side. With our "soldiers" and our "USO ladies" we attract a lot of attention and open the doors for many educational experiences for all levels of visitors.

BIO

Randy started with the History center as a volunteer in 2006. He joined the board as a member in 2007 and was elected to chair the board later that year. After the resignation of our founder and president, Randy was elected as President of the Foundation and Director of the museum. Randy has been instrumental in organizing new ideas for exposure of the museum and creating new ways to get our message out. Along with the board of directors, Randy is working to constantly improve and expand the base of the History Center.

STATEMENT FROM THE Principal Officer

"Our organization dedicated to Remember the WWII generation and their sacrifices, to Honor the accomplishments of that generation and Educate anyone interested about WWII and the effects of the war on our history and the world. We have many displays at regional events and have done several school system displays and speeches about the war and its effect on the world. We do research requests from all over the world and process over a hundred every year and those numbers are growing each month.
Our challenges are many being a small privately funded organization. We have a building repair that needs to be done on an outside wall as well as the need to expand our library. We have over 2000 volumes, all WWII related, now in our library for research and study with little or no space left to add more until we expand our shelving. We would very much like to add more display cases and shelves to properly display more of our artifacts and educational materials. With proper funding, we could expand our outreach to Veterans and our educational activities to the surrounding school systems. We have three board members that privately own WWII vehicles and freely use those to help us promote and educate the younger generations.
We have managed to purchase and almost pay off our building and remodeled it with many volunteer hours donated to that process. Our long term goals are to move to a larger building and to make a permanent home for the WWII History Center."
