The Box Project, Inc.

The Box Project, Inc. is a national, non-profit, member-based organization which matches sponsors with individuals and families living in poverty in rural America. We seek to alleviate the effects of poverty and increase mutual understanding through direct, people-to-people assistance. Sponsors develop long term friendships and aid others by offering support and sending boxes of needed supplies. Sponsor families mail their letters and boxes directly to their recipient families, thus eliminating a go-between and enhancing the one-to-one experience. Additional programs include Holiday Match, Community Center Match, and a Back-to-School program. ClassMatch Clubs are formed in sponsoring schools that wish to give back by sending material aid and support to schools, classrooms or Head Start prpgrams in areas of poverty in the US.
