Workforce Development

Seedco works with governments, employers, and the nonprofit sector to develop policies and programs that connect people to quality jobs with clear career ladders.

Young adults

When work does not generate enough income to support a family, when jobs are scarce, or when employment is simply not an option, Seedco works with families and individuals to coordinate a system of benefit supports. Seedco's EarnBenefits initiative is the centerpiece of this approach, using technology and comprehensive program services to connect workers and their families to a range of public and private benefits for which they are eligible, but often fail to seek.

Population(s) Served
Adults

Under the Affordable Care Act, U.S. citizens or nationals or lawfully present individuals living in the United States have access to affordable health insurance through the health insurance marketplace designated for their state. Seedco is helping consumers shop, compare, and apply for coverage through partnerships with state and federal agencies to help consumers understand their options, determine eligibility for financial assistance and enroll in Qualified Health Plans or obtain Medicaid. Seedco’s EarnBenefits Online (EBO) is a web-based software tool used by health and human services providers, affordable housing organizations and others to screen individuals for eligibility in a range of benefit programs. These programs include food stamps, health insurance programs, tax credits and housing and utility assistance. EBO makes very accurate calculations of benefit eligibility and allows screeners to instantly educate clients in which benefits they may be eligible for.
